I kissed your skin
so soft and smooth
you smelled like hope,
and faith renewed
I laid you down,
in night's cocoon
and prayed to God
that you'd be found
I always imagined
your kiss
I dreamed of how it would feel
something like the refreshing
blow of a summer breeze
the cleansing rain
after a hot day
the sunshine
after a devastating hurricane
I prayed the taste
as sweet as strawberries
husky and unbridled male
so erotic and breathtaking
I lose my senses
just thinking of it.
It was all a mistake
the phone call
the email
none of it is real
I refuse to believe
you were here yesterday
and today you're gone
I won't believe
I won't accept
It was all a mistake
You can never be replaced
RIP my friend.
