originality
As you might have noticed, I'm on a sorta "be" week. I've been sorta stressed about stuff lately (mostly writing) and worrying about how pissed people are going to be over how my current story ends...and well, steve is sorta like screw it, write the story your way, because at the end of the day it's your story, your opinion is the only one that matters.
So, the "be" theme is my way of reminding myself to be who I am, to write the story the way its told in my head and to stay true to who I am and my vision.
So be original, write the things that not every one is going to love, wear the things that make you, you, listen to the music you love, and above all, stay true to who you are.

youth is wasted on the young...
Why? Because one day you're gonna wake up dead and wonder what the heck you did with your one precious life.
Ready Diary of a Wimpy Kid books because they are hilarious
Follow the Jonas Brothers world tour because they are uber talented
Watch Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs when your kids are away at sleepovers and you got off early from work because its a cute movie and its fun.
Blast songs from last weeks episode of Glee because they are catchy and make you happy.
My point is, age is just a number, responsibility is overwhelming and sometimes it's okay to let loose for an hour or two.
I promise.
And just to be clear, I read Wimpy Kid books because they are hilarious, I listen to the music of the Jonas Brothers and secretly covet concert tickets, I watch Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs whenever its on, in fact, my ringtone for Steve is the monkey saying, "Steve!" And I have several mixed CDs in my car devoted to music from Glee.
It makes me feel carefree and in turn makes me feel young. Now off to drink a big glass of orange soda!

be....
so many times we pretend to be someone we aren't so that people will like us. At one point or another every one's done it. There's no shame in it, we all want to be accepted. Be yourself, buy bright red lipstick on a whim and wear it proudly - who cares what people think. Pin that hand crafted flower to your blouse because you think it's beautiful. The point is, be who you are, don't let anyone change you and don't change who you are. I'm not talking about convincing your husband to quit smoking or things like that, I'm talking about being true to who you are at your core, the you that rarely has the opportunity to shine.
be who you are, love who you are, and others will come to love you as well.
